Found this decorative shutter holder on a housewall in Köln Sürth. There are quite a lot houses with similar holders. I like them a lot.
One could say, they're guarding an entrance... ;)

Yeah, those little soldiers/guardians/whatever are quite popular. My neighbour (in good old GER) has the same.
